Construction partnership focuses on Saudi developments
A United Arab Emirates construction group has unveiled plans to expand into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Kele Contracting, which is a partnership between Kele Holdings and ENSHAA, disclosed it is seeking opportunities in the Middle Eastern country's market.

A number of mega-projects have recently been announced in Saudi Arabia and the group believes the region is "starving for contractors" like Dubai was in 2005 and 2006.

The research provider Business Monitor International also recently reported that the country's construction sector grew by three per cent last year.

Andrew Elias, chief executive of Kele Contracting, claimed the kingdom is the "next logical step in our expansion plans".

He added: "Saudi is now announcing many projects including towers and large-scale commercial and residential developments.

"I believe Kele will do well there, because Saudi is booming and there are just not enough companies to take on all the work required."

Last year, Hydra Properties announced the selection of Kele Contracting as its main coordinator for work on five high-rise buildings at a strategic location in Business Bay, Dubai.
