Da Phuc port complex construction starts
Construction has started on a port complex in Pho Yen District in the north of Vietnam.

President Nguyen Minh Triet was on hand to attend a ceremony to mark the start of the construction of Da Phuc port on Tuesday (March 2nd), reports Saigon GP Daily.

Chieng Cong Industry and Transport Cooperative has invested in the 260 billion Vietnam Dong (£9 million) construction project, which is due to be completed by the end of this year.

The president expressed his hopes that Thai Nguyen could grow to become a developed industrial province in the near future.

Chieng Cong Cooperative has already created nearly 1,200 jobs through its operations in the areas of industrial infrastructure construction, mineral exploitation, the production of fero mangan and goods transport.

Once completed, it is hoped Da Phuc port would contribute to attracting investment in the area as well as alleviate traffic congestion.

There are three seaports in northern Vietnam: Cam Pha, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong, which is the main port in the north.ADNFCR-1127-ID-19649997-ADNFCR
