Infrastructure improvement projects planned in Kuwait
Several construction jobs on various infrastructure improvements in Kuwait are set to go ahead after the government signed four contracts and two agreements in recent days.

Among the planned work is the designing of the new Sabiya-Al-Abdali road, as well as development and maintenance work on road and sewerage projects in Al-Funaitis, reports the Kuwait News Agency.

Meanwhile, a tender has been announced for the construction of the Sheikh Jaber Bridge, along with redevelopment on the Khaitan police station.

Dr Fadhel Safar Ali Safar, minister of public works and minister of state for municipal affairs, said the work was taking place as part of the state strategic development plan to improve Kuwait.

"The plan reflects the desire of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to turn Kuwait into a global financial and commercial hub," he stated.

Last week, Kuwait's parliament approved a $104 billion budget to fund a variety of project developments throughout the state over the course of the next four years.
