Middle East construction firm agrees distribution deal

Construction materials producer Arab Roots Group has agreed a distribution deal with Atlas Copco.

Arab Roots will act as the sole distributor of the Swedish construction firm's products and services in Syria.

The long-term collaboration agreement was signed by Great Volyn of Atlas Copco and Saleh Bin Laden of Arab Roots.

The joint venture could be another sign of increased activity in the Syrian economy and specifically the construction industry.

Last week Dr Faysal Alaquil of Construction Products Holding Company International – a partnership between investors from Syria and Saudi Arabia and Arab Roots Group – noted the country's potential in the construction materials market.

Speaking of research conducted on behalf of the organisation, Dr Alaquil said: "The results of the studies showed that Syria is a promising country for investment after the economic developments witnessed by the country and the climate of open economic strategies and encouragement of private sector investments."

In addition to its operations in Syria, Arab Roots is also involved in the construction industries of the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, China and Saudi Arabia, among others. ADNFCR-1127-ID-19664040-ADNFCR
