Morocco 'is attractive to investors'
11 Oct 2009
Karim Beqqali, managing director of CB Richard Ellis Morocco, said the global financial crisis has not had a significant effect on the sector in the north African country, reports the Khaleej Times.
He claimed there has been no impact on local or foreign developers in the country and that there are a large number of overseas investors as a result of the leaning towards tourism projects.
Another expert, executive vice president and head of Middle East Africa for Jones Lang LaSalle Jalil Mekouar, said Morocco has a "business-friendly" environment.
"The country has a stable economy and strong banking system to attract foreigners," he commented.
Earlier this month, Sonia Ismail of Gulf News said the housing market in Morocco is growing due to the strong economic performance of the country.
