End users key to real estate success in Dubai
Meeting the requirements of the end-user market is the main concern for real estate developers in the Middle East, one developer has claimed.

According to PowerHouse Properties, people will continue to buy property in cities growing at such a rapid rate as Dubai.

However, with the onset of the economic crisis, buyers will become more selective over who they trust, where they buy and the service they receive, said the company.

Myles Bush, managing director of PowerHouse Properties, stated that many real estate agencies had become complacent during the good times, which has led to firms struggling when competition becomes fiercer.

"Nobody can predict the future, but I personally believe the market in Dubai will pick up again early in 2009. A slight correction was inevitable and the global situation has acted as a catalyst," he stated.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the recent Property Shopper event in Dubai said the focus of the exhibition were end-users and rentals.
