Q. What is your biggest challenge this year and how are you meeting it?

There is a shortage of prime assets to trade in the Kuala Lumpur city centre.  Values have to rise to entice owners to part with their long held  assets.  We are meeting with owners of new commercial start ups to offer upfront investors a chance to enter at current values.

Q. What do you see as the biggest opportunity on the horizon?

Realignment of Malaysia as an investment destination.

Q. To what extent do you think regional and international confidence is returning to the real estate market?

The asian region will survive a double dip recession better than the west. Money flows will increase and asset prices will also increase. There will some mini bubbles but will be easily managed.

Q. Where in Asia would you invest $100m tomorrow?

Immediate upside - Singapore. Medium term for both currency and cap values - Malaysia
